What the Bible Says About Children

Via Pinterest
God's views on children:
  • He created them
"...thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalm 139:13-14
"Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about" Job 10:8
" Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?" Job 31:15

  • They are precious to Him
“Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you;" Isaiah 43:4

  • He has a plan for them
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you;" Jeremiah 1:5
" For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

  • They are a blessing
" Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." Psalm 127:3-5
If God says children are a blessing why are we so quick to try and prevent them. I have never known anyone to prevent any other blessings God gives us.(health, financial, ect.) And then people actually apply for a curse(debt)? Seems so backward to me!

Please prayerfully consider your choices.
