The quiet stillness of the earth, the way the light slowly transforms everything. There isn't much I don't love about the morning. I had forgotten how much I love it. Since I was able to quit my out of home job I have been sleeping late. But because of that it's been so long since I've experienced the time I so dearly love.
It's so much simpler to think on God, to be the woman He has called me to be, in those early morning hours. Reminders of his love and mercy surround me.
It's easier to meditate on His word without all the noise that technology has brought. Oh how beautiful the quietness is! There are no outside distractions, all focus is on Him.
The light slowly begins to shine through the darkness. What a powerful reminder of how through our obedience to His word God changes us, replacing the darkness that sin has placed on our soul and replacing it with His eternal light.
And then the sun rises into view bringing to thought the rising of His Son and the great sacrifice that was offered. How great the love and mercy of God is!
Don't take for granted the time He's given you! Thank God for today and use it to serve him!
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. (Psalm 143:8)
